Cisco NAM: a versatile platform for network analysis

The NAM (Network Analysis Module) is available as a module for a large number of Cisco routers and switches as well as appliance.

With its multiple data sources, the NAM supports many analysis features:

  • measures of application response time in real-time (NAM ART)

  • visibility on the efficiency of network mechanisms for delivering quality of service (CoS) and Wan accelaration provided by WAAS devices

  • traffic analysis

  • troubleshooting features in real time ...

Integration of the data from the NAM in the Alaloop portal

Alaloop and Cisco collaborated to develop a global view of performance delivered both by the synthetic data recorded in Alaloop portals and the finest level available on the NAM. This convergence between high-level reports and detailed technical reports provides greater control and greater responsiveness of IT performance monitoring.
